MEET OUR PASTOR
Pastor and Mrs. Don McCool
Our Pastor, Don McCool and Sister LaCleda McCool have been in Crossville since 1995. They are both a great inspiration to our church congregration and are very active in the work.
Born and raised in Missouri, Pastor McCool has enjoyed over 45 years in the ministry. He is from a large family of 6 boys and 2 girls and four of the boys are Apostolic Pastors. In addition, there are approximatley 20 ministers in his immediate family. A great heritage indeed!
Prior to receiving his calling, Pastor McCool travelled with other evangelists singing and playing his guitar. As a matter of fact, this is how he met Sister McCool. While at the age of 17, he travelled to Illinois in a revival with his older sister and her husband and happened to be invited to the home of one of the saints there who just happened to show him the picture of her lovely blonde-headed daughter. Bro. McCool has always been one to know and speak his own mind and told her mother right then and there that he was going to marry that little girl – never having either seen or met her. She was 16 at the time and, just like he said, they soon married and resided in Southern Illinois until beginning their ministry some 10 years later.
Prior to moving to Crossville Pastor McCool served as Associate Pastor at West Monroe Apostolic Church in Haren, Illinois for seven years. Before that he pastored for several years in Paducah, Kentucky and also in Tipton, Indiana. Both Bro. and Sis. McCool are talented musically and spent many years on the evangelistic field, traveling and singing with their three children, Greg, Jeff, and Kathy, who are all three involved in ministry now. Greg is an accomplished songwriter and musician, Jeff is an Evangelist, while Kathy is continuing in music as a talented soloist. The McCools also have one grandson in the ministry.
Pastor McCool is a talented songwriter and storyteller and has even been published and recorded by J.D. Sumner and the Blackwood Brothers. Excerpts from Bro. Meet Our Associate Pastor
Meet The Stine Gang
Our Associate Pastor, Edward Stine, and his wife Janice, have been in Crossville since 2003. They and their four children, Rachel, Adam, Nathan, and Abigail have felt immediately at home since moving to the Plateau. We are so glad to have them as part of our church family.
Bro. Stine was ordained into the ministry in 1988. He has served in a variety of positions including Bible Teacher, Evangelist, Youth Pastor, Associate Pastor and also Pastor. Before coming to Crossville, Bro. Stine was Associate Pastor of Rockmart Church of Jesus in Rockmart, Georgia and formerly Pastor of New Beginning Apostolic Church of Villa Rica, Georgia. Prior to that, he had served as Associate Pastor of Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ.
Bro. Stine works closely with Pastor McCool on the ministry team of Creston Pentecostal Church as Bible Teacher, Praise Leader, and also Associate Pastor. He has a deep compassion for the needs of the church body and also a strong desire to see the church grow and prosper.
Sister Stine is also a great blessing to our church. In addition to being our church Organist and Praise Team Leader, she is very active within the Sunday School Department and church functions and fundraisers.
